Molds,
bacteria, viruses, pollen, dust
mites, and animal dander promote
poor indoor air quality. HVAC systems are frequent
sources; when inhaled can lead to breathing problems.

T & D uses the finest state of the art tools and equipment to clean air ducts and dryer vents. T&D Duct Cleaning uses the most advanced H.E.P.A (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtered air duct cleaning system available. It is designed and manufactured by Nikro Industries, one of the leading manufacturers of HEPA filtered vacuum equipment in the United States. All of our equipment is manufactured to meet or exceed OSHA, EPA, and NADCA standards for cleaning the air of nuisance dusts.
Our powerful HEPA Filtered Vacuum System will first be connected
to your air duct near your furnace. Various high pressure air
tools will then be used to dislodge the contaminates in the
duct system. The contaminates will be pulled into the filtration
system; returning clean air back into your home. Once your system
is cleaned, all access holes are resealed, returning your duct
system to original clean condition.
Indoor Air Quality is Critical to Our Health
For
years Americans have thought of air pollution solely as an outdoor
problem. However, a recent study at Yale University has revealed
that the air inside of 19 out of 20 homes was considerably more
polluted than the outside air. The major cause of indoor air
pollution is the dust, dirt and moisture that accumulate within
a home’s air conditioning system and ductwork.
The moisture and debris commonly found in the HVAC systems provides an ideal breeding ground for mold, germs, fungi and other harmful microbes. Microbial contamination poses a major health risk to people who suffer from allergies, asthma and other respiratory ailments as well as those who do not. The American Lung Association and the EPA say that dust particles and other allergens can aggravate allergies and cause breathing problems, lung damage, and symptoms range from fatigue, runny nose, nasal congestion, headaches, chills, fever, coughing, wheezing, and strep and can lead to more serious diseases.
| Indoor Allergies: People can be allergic to many things - pollen, animals, insect bites, molds, air pollution, and household dust. Some allergens are at work all year round. Dusts, molds and animal dander are present in many homes, offices and public areas. The symptoms caused by these perennial allergies are identical to those caused by seasonal allergens. |

About
40,000 dust mites can "thrive" in only
one ounce of dust. Imagine how many are living in
your ductworks?

Very few allergens are harder to ignore than airborne indoor allergens. Dust collects in your ductwork. It gets blown back into the air whenever your heating or air conditioning fan goes on. And with the high humidity of summertime - and the humidifier on in the winter - your ductwork can also be a very welcoming environment for mold. All of which makes a very powerful argument for keeping your ducts clean.
